Baby Gavin is 7 weeks old! Wow, time flies when you are having FUN!! ❤ He is getting so big and he smiles and makes the best cooing sounds. His eyes light up when he sees me and Joe. I love it! He keeps himself happy in his nap nanny. This is today at lunch...he's just hanging out and enjoying the scenery.

SMILE!
I just have to share this picture of my sweet Gage Bennett. We are eating lunch today and I said "Smile for your Daddy!" This is the best smile ever!

Cooking in the Kitchen!
I love to cook...well maybe bake...actually both! :) My favorite thing to do now is bake with Gage. He is so fun to bake with. Gage and his daddy have such a sweet tooth (I actually do too, but it's more fun to say that they are the ones..ha!)
So tonight's baking was Rice Krispy treats with sparkles (aka sprinkles) on top. Gavin even helped us out. Both boys were big helpers. Gage had to try out the sparkles to make sure they were ok. :)
I sure do love baking with my boys!

Matchy-Matchy
I think it's so cute when Gage and Gavin match. My mom bought them cute matching jammies for Christmas and I finally got a picture of them wearing them together. Gavin is big enough now to wear his. :) He's growing way too fast!
I love seeing the brotherly love. They are both getting used to each other. Love them! ❤

Praise God!
Wonderful Scripture for today:
Let all that I am praise the Lord ; may I never forget the good things he does for me. (Psalms 103:2 NLT)
May we never forget all that God has blessed us with...

God's Strength
I'm tired tonight. I'm tired because tonight is one of those nights (so far) that Gavin didn't fall asleep well and Gage woke up as well. So I'm back and forth. Not for long though, because I'm believing after I get Gavin back to sleep this round I'll get some sleep too. As I sit here thinking how tired I am, I heard God's voice say "Get your strength from me." How I love to hear from HIM. So just now I look up verses on strength and I immediately see 3 that fit for me:
I love you, L ord ; you are my strength. (Psalms 18:1 NLT)
The L ord is my strength and my song; he has given me victory. (Psalms 118:14 NLT)
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13 NLT)
So as I read these verses I know yet again that God provides far more than I could ask or think.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, (Ephesians 3:20 NKJV)
I stand on these scriptures and know that I find my strength in seeking God and He will provide for me far more than I can ask or think. It says it right there in His Word. I love finding scriptures and speaking them over my family and our lives. God is good, ALL the time!
The last verse that God just gave me is,
Children are a gift from the Lord ; they are a reward from him. (Psalms 127:3 NLT)
Thank you Jesus, thank you!

My Two Loves
I'm just going through my pictures and praying for my boys. My heart is softened by this picture. I see the tenderness in Gage as he looks at his baby brother and I see the love in his eyes. Gage's world has been forever changed. And even though its for the good, I never want to treat him so differently that he feels anger or frustration towards Gavin or myself. So as a sweet friend said to be the other day, give yourself some grace in this transition period. So I do and I just enjoy sweet moments like these.

Salt Art
Since being in maternity leave, I've had the blessing of having Gage at home with me and Gavin. Once I felt well enough and could get around easier, I try to do something crafty with Gage besides just sit and watch tv.
So, thanks to Pinterest and the crafty ideas out there, Gage and I completed a salt art craft. Gage really enjoyed this. First, you make a design with glue. Then, you sprinkle (or pour as Gage likes to do) salt over your entire glue masterpiece. Last, you take paint (we used water with good coloring) and drop tiny drops onto the salt and watch the paint spread. It's really neat to watch this.
Gage enjoyed using a dropper to out the paint on his pictures. Once they dried all the paint color was gone. I'm not sure what happened.

Snowman Fun!!!
Yea!!!!! We made our first snowman! Yesterday it snowed 5 inches and snowed all day. It was perfect weather to get out and make a snowman. So perfect that almost all the snow melted. Gage loved shoveling snow into his dump truck, but we did get him to help make a snowman.
GP came and helped us build the snowman. We added a carrot nose and tried raisins for the eyes and mouth. Those didn't stick. Ha! We had fun none the less.

My Cute Cowboy! <3
Gage is so funny! I took this picture of him yesterday as he was trying to Lasso CC. You don't see CC in the picture because I got gage to pose. It's fun taking pictures of him now because he will actually stop for a min (most of the time) and smile. This was one where he was proud to be wearing his cowboy hat, wearing his cowboy boots with his lasso in hand. CC for out of the picture on this one. Actually, she escaped! :)
I LOVE this little boy! ❤

Our first month with Gavin
It's hard to believe that one month has already gone by since Gavin was born. Gavin is precious and Gage is such a good big brother. Gavin is starting to make cooing sounds and even has a smile or two. He is getting better at sleeping at night too which makes me happy. He's a great sleeper during the day of course.
Gage has been working on potty training and does really well when he's interested in the whole potty training idea. He hasn't been interested in it much this week, but he is still adjusting to having a little brother and is doing really well with that. As we speak, it's the middle of the night and we are ALL in Mommy and Daddy's bed. Lol!
Gage has been home a lot with me and Gavin this past month and it makes me so happy. I would love to be at home with them for good. I'm believing that one day it will happen.
Well I'm off to bed with a heart that is full of many blessings. Joe and I are so thankful for all God has blessed us with and we give him all of the glory!
Children are a gift from the L ord ; they are a reward from him. (Psalms 127:3 NLT)
